Oftentimes we do have a skype account that allows us to make calls to tens of countries. Why not configure our smart speaker and enjoy the comfort of asking Alexa to call friends or families we want to keep in touch with especially in these tough times of lockdown?
In this article we will show you how you can configure your skype account on your Echo Dot 3 so you can make calls internationally using that same skype plan.
To configure your smart speaker for that, follow the steps below:
Using Alexa Website from your Computer
Step 1:
Open your Alexa website (Click here) and go to settings > communications
Step 2:
Choose Skype Account and enter your credentials. Follow the instructions
Step 3:
Choose the Option to Call using “Skype to Phone”.
Step 4:
Tell Alexa this: Alexa, Skype Call <the name of your contact> or <number of contact>. You are done!
Using the Alexa App from your Smartphone
Step 1:
Open your Alexa App and go to settings > communication
Step 2:
Choose Skype Account and enter your credentials. Follow the instructions
Step 3:
Choose the Option to Call using “Skype to Phone”.
Step 4:
Tell Alexa this: Alexa, Skype Call <the name of your contact> or <number of contact>. You are done!
